Top Quartile Partners

 

 

 

 

Top Quartile Partners is a recently constituted company aiming to establish innovatively structured fund-of-funds to invest in Private Equity Limited Partnerships. The first fund-of-funds being established will invest in a pool made up of the leading mega-buyout private equity firms in the USA and Europe. This novel fund-of-funds will work to bridge the gap between Private Banks and Private Equity making the asset class accessible to private clients.

 

The principals behind Top Quartile Partners have deep networks into both the Private Banking and the Private Equity worlds.

 

Edoardo Bugnone has extensive experience in private equity. Prior to setting up Top Quartile Partners, he was a Founding Partner of Geneva-based Argos Soditic. Argos Soditic is a private equity firm that was established in 1989 to invest in small- and mid-sized buyouts in France, Italy and Switzerland and currently manages more than €500m. Throughout his tenure at the firm, aside from his direct investments in Switzerland, Italy, France and Portugal, Mr. Bugnone was responsible for Investor Relations and Group Strategy.  Between 2001 and 2002, Mr. Bugnone was Chairman of the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA).

 

Richard Rimer has been a successful entrepreneur with broad experience investing in private companies. Following three years at McKinsey & Co. in Zurich, Mr. Rimer founded a company in Holland which he successfully sold and went on to found MediService - Europe’s leading mail service pharmacy. Prior to setting up Top Quartile Partners, Mr. Rimer - from 2001 to 2006 - was a Partner in Geneva at Index Ventures – a top-decile venture capital firm managing over €1Bn.
